HSE Level 3 Overview

The HSE Level 3 is designed to create the awareness of key health and safety issues found in the workplace as well as the role you will play in ensuring yours as well as other’s safety.

HSE Level 3 looks at the management approaches associated with health and safety. We also look at the activities carried out in the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) process for managing Health and Safety issues at work.

The program offers the skills and knowledge required to start a career in the field of health and safety. At the end of the course is an assessment which on completion an Intermediate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is awarded by the chartered institute for environmental health (CIEH).

What Is HSE Level 3 Course Syllabus?

The course syllabus is based on the CIEH Health and Safety syllabus. In addition The syllabus covers the following knowledge areas;

Occupational health and safety management

Planning

Risk profiling

Work-related injuries – hazards and controls

Work-related ill health – hazards and controls

Organisation and implementation

Checking performance

Reviewing performance
